It's a small world...and getting smaller

When I was a senior in high school, many years ago, my parents and I went on vacation to London. Like any good tourist, we went to see the changing of the guard at the palace. In front of me was a girl wearing a school jacket from the town next to where I live. I said "hey you are from Brighton, I am from Penfield." well we got to talking. it turned out that we had gone to kindergarten together when we young. Another time I was in San Franscisco on vacation at Fisherman's Warf when I literally run into my old teacher. What's your weirdest small world story? In what unlikely place did you run into some one you know?

I was on vactaion in Spain with my friend and we kept bumping into these same 3 people from our hotel everywhere we went. We would always just say hello and move on. A couple months after we got back to Scotland we were at a party at a local nightclub and who walk in but those same 3 people we kept seeing in Spain...we eventually introduced ourselves and became good friends.

That one made me laugh. You never think you would see people you met on vacation at home. How funny...

I have a friend who one day was taking her rubbish to the local recycling centre. As she put her contribution in the bin, she saw a letter on the ground that someone had dropped. She was about to be tidy and put it in with the rest of the paper when the name caught her eye and she recognised it as a friend she had been at primary school with but had long lost touch with. She contacted the person the next day and, sure enough, it was the same person. They were both glad to renew their long forgotten friendship and to catch up!
