Are you a radiator too?

It seems that whenever I sit down in one spot for longer than a minute or two I start to radiate a mess! Things that come out of my pockets, my purse, things that I am fiddling around with, and then set them down when something else captures my interest and then forget it there for a while.
In no way am I admitting to a messy home or poor homemaking skils, that is not me either! I follow behind myself repairing the "wreckage of my presense" throughout the house before my fiancee is due home from work everyday.
My home office is the one room in the house where the same cannot be said!
I do occassionally clean my office up, don't get me wrong! However I also never established a proper filing system for anything over a yeatr ago when we moved into the house. Then I moved out for 5 mos so the then ex-boyfriend packed most of my papers, correspondence, etc. into a bunch of boxes for me. When I came back to this house (and boyfriend) last year in June I had to start my whole affiliate marketing program all over again, building new web sites, doing SEO optomization for all of them. Then lo and behold I hauled out all of my old papers because many affiliate programs will not allow you to sign up to their program for a second time if you already have an account. Then top that all off with trying to put 2004 all back together and stash it away. Then seperate 05 from 06 and then take the still active and in use affiliate programs records and documents that have carried over from 2006 into my 2007 accounts and merge them together!
As you would guess from the way that it sounds there are papers stacked on papers stacked on folders with another stack of paper under them. The paper blizzard starts to ease as you get one step away from my workstation. The closer that you get to the door the less mess has radiated out to get underfoot and in the way! However at the core of my workstation where I do all of my site building, and web work, and attend college online are concentric circles of papers, clutter, folders, and just STUFF! I had promised myself that I would clean up the mess and get the other unfiled printouts and correspondence filed away by the end of January. Well January ended and here I am still filing, shredding, tossing, and filing with little or no end in sight yet. What do I do!?

Oh Sharone, I feel your pain honey! My papers are everywhere but where they belong. I used to be able to say that no matter how messed up they looked at least I knew where what I wanted was; but I can't even say that any more. I would suggest we both re-read the One Minute Manager, then take a day, a week, or however long and begin filing - one paper at a time. Sounds horrid, doesn't it?~Donna

I'm way ahead of ya doll I just bought more folders and started printing labels a few days ago and I started but it seems that the mess is getting worse not better yet.

Mess seems to follow me everywhere too! I am not a slob or anything, but my mom likes to refer to me as 'Hurricane Cheyenne'. It doesn't seem to matter what I do or how often I clean up, there is always another mess that I have made. I try to be more organized, and I am actually quite anal about desk/office space, but that is as far as it goes. The only place I seem not to have a problem is at work. For some reason, I am like Monk in the workplace! Now if I could just be that way at home!
