It happened yesterday at about 2:30 pm. A chemical plant exploded. They had to evacuate some schools. They also evacuated the surrounding neighborhood. With a chemical fire they have to let them burn out. They thought it was over when they had another explosion about an hour ago. Nobody has been hurt from this so far. I live about 10 miles from this. My daughter lives a little over a mile from it. So far they haven't evacuated her. You can go to this link to see photos and read about it.

That is awful!! If I was your daughter, I would think about leaving on my own, just to make sure I wouldn't get sick from the chemicals. No telling what side effects they will have.

She has thought about it. Right now the wind is blowing it away from where she lives. They also had a plane that can check the air for dangerous stuff fly through the smoke and all and they say it is not dangerous. The government got this plane after 9/11 in case of another attack on the US they would be able to check the air for any chemicals released. The plane came from Texas to check the air yesterday.
