Too Good To Be True and I Can't Believe I Am Writing This!

This is a MyLot first for me! I am doing it not out of necessity; but out of a true desire to share with all of my MyLot friends! For the past month my partner has been begging for peanut butter cookies and I have been putting off baking them by making cakes and brownies. I even went so far as to buy some of the refrigerated cookie dough and tried to pass them off as peanut butter cookies...but....last night I googled recipes and came up with this one 1 1 1 Peanut Butter Cookies preheat oven to 375 1 cup of sugar 1 large egg 1 cup of peanut butter In bowl blend sugar and egg together, and blend in peanut butter. Place walnut sized balls about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes. Let stand for 1 minute before transferring onto wire rack to cool. Now, for some laughter! These were so easy to make - notice no flour! Just easy breezy! They were so delicious that we ate almost all of them last night (about one and a half dozen pretty good sized ones), and don't you know that I finished them off this morning!I most certainly didn't want her to come home and realize that they were all gone, so in between postings today, I have baked a double batch of them. I have also eaten about 5 of them in the process!I hope you can enjoy them as much as I do and we will all grow round together `Donna

Oh, Donna, you brought back some great memories for me here! I am no cook, but one of the few recipies that my family used to make together was a similar one to this that made peanut butter cookies. I think that we may still even have it taped up on the inside of one of our cabinets in the kitchen here in my family's home. I would love to make some again if I could eat the sugar, but I can't. I guess that I could figure out an equal amount of Splenda to use! That might work. Then I could have peanut butter cookies again. ^_^

There should be a law against posting such dangerous information. I absolutely have to bake some of these and I don't have enough peanut butter. The store is closed and 60 klms away ..... (wringing of hands and sounds of wailing) what shall I do? Ok..enough melodrama.... These sound very yummeh! What a good sharer you are....thanks.

Those peanut butter cookies sound really delicious though right now I have to watch what I eat. Does it have any or a lot of sugar in it? I love all kinds of cookies and my friends and coworkers are always asking me when my mom will make more lemon crisp cookies. I posted a recipe for lemon crisp cookies if you like that kind of cookie as well.

Just make sure you aren't using Peter Pan peanut butter... My father-in-law didn't realize that was making him sick a week ro so ago, until they put the recall on the news the other day.

this recipe is also versatile you can add splenda cup for cup instead of the sugar, you can also add chocolate chips peanut butter chipps, butterscotch chips, or any other flavor you like, and or nuts of your choosing

Have you tried this recipe with the Splenda instead of the sugar? What does it do to the consistency?

I have heard of people baking cookies without flour and I was never sure if they were kidding or not. But by the way you described them, you can't possibly be making this up. I am not a big fan of peanut butter but my boyfriend is. I am sure he will want to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Now you are going to have to spend the weekend on the stairmaster. Those must have been some good cookies. I think you should bake some and sell them to us hungry people who are to lazy to bake our own.

Whip in peanut butter and then add the dry ingredients. Oh these are super yummy! I think the brown sugar is what does it! Hope you give it a try!
