i'm sorry if this has been asked a thousand times, but is the number next to your screen name the number of posts you have made or the number or replies you have gotten to your posts? Thank you.

I think the number is for both posts and replies, if you mean posts started? The only thing that isn't counted is when you comment to another's reply.
