Expiration Dates on Foods

When you shop, do you look at the expiration date on the foods you buy? I always check the date because I don't want to waste my money or my time when I have to take bad food back to the store for a refund. I've noticed that some items just aren't marked with an expiration date, though; how would you ever know if this food is fresh enough to eat? I feel there should be a law that states that an expiration date should be put on everything that's edible. Do you agree or disagree?

I agree with you 100% I am always complaining about this myself. I refuse to buy certain foods if there is no date on it. I think there should be a law to have dates on all food products.

I definitely try to remember to. But I am not the one who does the shopping in the family, so I just try to check the dates on things that are brought home. But I don't always remember to. As an example, I just found out that we had some bottles of soda pop that were probably nearly out of date when they were bought last year. Now they are nearly a year out of date, oops, and we were just getting around to drinking them.
