hydroponically grown tomatoes

Hi. I'm a amateur tomato grower from South Africa. I started in March 2006 and everything was going well. Now, however, my tomato plants have very curly leaves, the tomatoes are small and get ripe too quickly and there are a big brown or green spot at the bottom of some of the tomatoes. Someone said that the curly leaves are because of nutrient build up. Can anyone help?
