What did you think of them?
I have had hairless guinea pigs before (skinnies, but never baldwins). I was fostering them. I found them to be more work and have more medical issues. Hairless guinea pigs were initially bred for lab use, so they have weak immune systems. When they first were rescued, they had horrible ringworm. They ate twice as much for their metabolism, and lived half as long (only about 3-4 years generally, as opposed to 5-8 years for hairy guinea pigs).
I would not recommend them as pets to anyone and if people stopped breeding them, I'd be overjoyed. It was sad to see them hurting from medical conditions because they were just so sweet. It's sad that people think they are so trendy and don't care about the health aspects of it all.
