Today it was reported that a study conducted by the University of Chicago reveals that of the 1,144 doctors surveyed a suprising number of doctors felt no obligation to advise their patients about medical procedures that they oppose on moral grounds. Some of the procedures include abortion, birth control for teens and sedating terminally ill patients near death. The study reported that 71% of the doctors felt that they should refer their patients to other doctors for treatments they are opposed to and that slightly more than half felt no obligation to refer patients to other doctors. What does this mean to you? Do you think it is in your best interest to select a doctor that shares your religious and moral beliefs to get the best care for you and your family?

I prefer seeing a doctor of my own similar beliefs for just this reason, not saying they need attend my same church but feel it's easier to talk to someone who knows my basic beliefs.
