Do you remember Strawberry Shortcake? Care Bears? Rainbow Bright? Cabbage Patch dolls? I know a lot of old toy characters are coming back for the new generation, but did any of you play with these toys growing up? What was your favorite? Not just from the 4 listed above...there are so many more!
I LOVED the Munchichis...remember those? The little monkey type things that sucked their thumbs! So CUTE

Don't laugh, I played and played with the troll dolls! They were actually called Dam Dolls when first manufactured. Then other companies started imitating the original. I would take scraps of material from my grandmother's sewing chest, cut little arm and neck holes and sew on a snap and voila...a dress or shirt! I would comb and comb their hair. Of course I made a nurse hat and dress for one of the troll dolls! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Oh! My favorite would be the Transformers toys! My dad when he comes home from abroad when I was a child would always bring home those robots and I think I almost had a complete set of them. I would even bring them along with me when I am watching the cartoon series. I also loved Lego! This toys would release my creativity and imagination back then ;)

GREAT toy! My son is 5 and he LOVES Transformers. He watches the cartoons and has several he plays with. We also have Legos. We still have the oversized Legos in my house from when my kids were babies. They LOVE playing with those. My husband and the kids will get in the floor and play for hours! LOL

I LOVED the My Little Pony's. I had a shelf full of them when I was growing up. And I do remember the Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, and the Monchichi's. Do you remember the Snork's? I love it how they are bringing back all the cartoons and toys from my childhood. Its wonderful to be able to share them with my children.

I love it how all the old movies are being "recycled" too. My daughters LOVE Cinderella; and The Last Unicorn was just re-released as a 25th anniversary edition, so I can't wait for them to see that as well.

Yes, I remember teh Snorks! LOL What a silly little thing. I think they were trying to take inspiration from the success of the Smurfs. :)
My Little Pony's. My 2 year old daughter LOVES those things. :)
I love sharing these things with my kids, as well...it's a wonderful feeling.

My favorite childhood toys are two. One is a complete set of dining utensils and a wooden doll with many sizes (the one for decoration that smaller sizes are inside the biggest one?). I kept both toys until I reached my teen years. Unluckily when some relatives from the province came for a visit, one of the kid wanted my toys and my mom gave those toys to her. huhuhu... But it's ok I made that little girl happy.

that's great you kept the toys that long. I am sorry your mom gave them away, but--like you said, you made a little girl happy. Thanks for sharing.

Well I had a variety of barbie style dolls that were Princess Leia, Six Million Dollar man and the bionic woman that I loved playing with. I also loved my yo-ball. It was like a yo-yo but designed to always come back to me. Simon was great and I spent a lot of time playing with that. I was a little too old for the ones you mention but I did have a baby alive when it first came out :)

I remember them all & loved them all. I think Strawberry short cake or My little Pony were my favorite. I loved The Purple Pie Man & Sour Grapes. I had their dolls. I also had a big castle for my ponies that my grandparents bought me.

There is a new My Little Pony castle now, if I'm not mistaking. I want it for my daughter for her birthday. :)

I honestly don't remember what my favourite childhood toy was.
I can remember things like logo but i've always played with most of the toys i had so i can't single one out. I will say my grandfather bought me a gaint teddy when i was just a day old and i've had it ever since and when i miss him i look at it.
it could very much be that teddy.
