Anyone else suffer the same embarrassment when wearing satin clothes? I have never yet managed to get through an entire day or evening when wearing a satin dress or skirt without falling off of seats etc because I just slide off! It is so embarrassing, having to be picked up off the floor every so often solely because the stuff is so darned slippy!
So, does this happen to you?

I don't go anywhere any more either, but if I did I certainly would never wear satin agian. I am too accident prone!

What it is to have sympathetic friends. I would not wear satin anywhere near her as she would end up in an oxygen tent because she would laugh so much.
I don't wear satin so much these days as I got tired of slipping off of seats, and landing on a hard floor is not my idea of fun. OK, OK, watching a chubby lady fall off a stool may be funny to others, but not for the faller!

flippin 'eck I got a pair of them now! Yes, folks, the settee in question is leather and darned slippery even if you are wearing jeans. Satin is definitely not a good fabric to wear there.
Anyways, I didn't so much fall as sort of slide and glide!

Well no it doesn't, lol so I would suggest you don't wear them anymore. I am sorry, Sweet, I am killing myself laughing here, as I am sitting here imagining you sliding of Chairs and on the Floor. Sorry, hahahahahahaha.
I am going and I will try to calm myself, lol.

Have you succeeded in calming yourself down yet? I have now given everyone a new national pasttime. Oh, look at the lady in the satin drss/skirt, let's see if she slips off the stool!
I deserve a medal for introducing this spectator sport to the bars and cafes of the world!

In our family we hand all the clothes down, so I had quite a few as my Cousins were into that type of stuff. You are lucky. Or perhaps you are not as awkward as I am. Honestly, satin is just a plain unlucky fabric for me lol.

Try using a belt for your satin dress. Its in fashion nowadays. Also, when using satin material for clothes, make sure that they are tailor made to avoid slipping in public. :)

No, it is not that kind of slip, but thank you very much for your tips.
I just find the fabric is so smooth I literally slip off of stools and other things and end up on the floor!
