Turner or Constable

Art circles often say that you are either a "Turner" person or a "Constable" person.
Turner is wild, tempestuous and a whirlwind.
Constable is cottage picture book sweet.
So which are you?

Hard to choose, I probably wouldn't have either in the ouse to be honest, I like pretty cottages but would not but the pictures and I'm not sure what Turner did, was he the one with the cart horses etc, my mum liked those.
My favourite artist is Leon Wells. I will try to put on the picture in my dining room for you, but no promises, this rarely works for me, lol

I think the horses were Stubbs. Turner is good with stormy seas, angry skies etc.
I can't see the picture at the moment but I will come back later to see if I can see it. I am looking up Leon Wells, as he is new to me.oooooooooh yes! Like that. Add another to my favourites. Thank you so much for that.

Somehow I think you know that is not what I meant lololol. Very good though. I must admit I have lots of trouble keeping up with you! However, it is very much worth the effort, so keep it up!

I am also a combination of both, some days I am much more energetic than others. Actually, the more I think about this, everyone I know fits both categories in certain ways.

Another combination of both! lol. Obviously all the previous debates I have had didn't include a wide enough spectrum.
Strange thing is my partner (who is an artist) and myself are both Turner. He asked me if I was Turner or Constable during the first hour of our first date. Wonder what would have happened had I been Constable lololol.
Glad it gave you something to think about.

I think in truth I am a mix of the two. People that know me might say I was a Turner but I defiantly have a Constable side. In my painting I think you can see them both.

Does the subject of your painting vary according to your mood, or it is the colours and textures that vary?
