Many Garments Factory supply clothes to the US Continent. In the Philippines, garments factory are all over, sub-contracting. Previously the Taiwanese are very good in investing here. My boss were two taiwanese. One speak fluent english. One partner owns 3 garment factory in Taiwan, they closed down becuase of hike in salary. The Taiwanese are very disciplined workers. There is great risk in garment factory. There is great demand in US for Asian manufactured clothing they are much cheaper. Now China has a bigger share in manufacturing clothes for export to US. In the Philippines, we do not have - textile factories that can supply the need for garment industry. Some textile from taiwan are not good. China manufacturing has lower cost because electricity is subsidise by the government. Looking for cheaper source to manufacture clothing? The Filipinos are very good in designing clothes.
