Or am I the only one that feel's that way. Sometimes it worries me because I feel a passion for animals so much more , and would rather help a animal than a human in trouble. It seems mean and retarted to me but I can't help but wonder why I am like this, does anyone else feel this way sometimes?

Yes I am like that too, I guess I love animals because you can trust them, I have come across a lot of mistrust in my life and also because they can't speak for themselves I have many times stood up for their rights, people have disappointed me in my past and it seems there was always a cat there for me...animals are beautiful creatures they give so much and ask for so little and they are abused by so many....

yes I agree with you in that case too. I am so lucky to have found and married my soulmate, but none of my pets ever hurt me more than humans ever do.

Good points ;) I agree with everything 100%. Animals never judge or talk back, they are a best friend to strangers, and than some ppl turn around and kick them in the butt, id like to kick them ppl in the you know what!!

I do feel like that too a lot of times. It's not that I don't care about human sufferings. I Can help as much as I can, but animal cruelty these days are beyond belief and we humans have conributed so much to animal extinction - it's unbelievable! I also care about what happened to the rain forests that are burnt down irresponsibly. Animals and plants have no brains, they can't think for themselves. It's not our faults that they are created that way but doesn't mean we will lower ourselves by abusing them. Slaughter animals are animals bred for slaughtery, to feed us. Animal cruelty is abusing, killing and torturing animals for satisfaction or commercial use. I'm sure you've heard many horrible stories like these and that could be why you feel for their sufferings too.

Ya i hear so many abuse stories it makes me hate humans more and more...just because animals have no ability to talk to us really and just because we are higher than them, people think they can beat the crap put of them and treat them like a slave. I agree with you also that yes we eat animals, but raise the farm animals for feed, and keep it clean and healthy for them while there alive. But the abuse and neglect has to stop, its pathetic. thanks for your input ;)

I feel as you do on certain days. Some days I come home from work just devasted or disgusted. I am met with 4 eyes who know what non-conditional love REALLY means. (many humans say that they love non-conditionally, but I don't know) I truly feel that my cat especially (dog on occassion) understands my moods!

I know personally I feel more connected to animals than I do humans. I find there are so many people that are just self centered & they don't really care about anyone else than themselves. I know that animals don't act or feel like this. I have a puppy & I know she never acts self centered. She's always wondering what's up with me & she's always curious about everything. I've never seen her be so concerned with herself that she won't play or run around like she always does. I feel sympathy for animals when I watch the news for example & I see stories of animal cruelty or animal abuse. When I watch a story about someone who has neglected a dog it really hurts me deep down because I can't see believe a human would do that. I usually end up looking at my puppy & wanting her to come to me so I can hold her & promise her that I will never do that to her. I love my puppy too much to ever be cruel or mean to her & when I see stories of other people doing that, it's like I'm supposed to reassure her that I won't ever do that to her. I think animals form a special bond with humans that no two humans can ever share. I think that's one more reason why I feel closer to animals than people. I think me and my puppy share a bond quite like that. She follows me everywhere & loves to snuggle up with me during the day. I remember when I was working, you could tell how strong of a bond we have by just the way she would greet me at the door when I got home. She would jump up and bark & then run to her toy basket & get a toy she would want to play with. When I see an animal that is in trouble I would do what I could to help it. I have a lot of compassion for animals & if I can help them, I will. I find within animals a being that does not judge you on anything & that loves you for who you are. They love you unconditionally & they look to you for guidance. I love being a provider for my puppy & I love playing with her & keeping her entertained. She is number one in my books and I am just as loyal to her as she is to me. So, in conclusion, these are some reasons as to why I feel more connected to animals than to humans. I believe animals are less judgmental than humans & they accept you for who you are, not what they want you to be. All they want from you is love. Humans are in essence more judgmental & I tend to get turned off from people who live their lives doing that. That is why I enjoy the company of animals over humans. Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I feel that way too. When they get into trouble, I feel sorry for them because they are helpless. Humans are the smarter ones and the more dangerous ones. They can be mean a nd hateful, inconsiderate, rude and most of the time they aren't very nice. When in a crowded place you will find it easy to find people choosing to be mean and self centered rather than considerate and polite. I feel like animals behave on instinct and therefore do not do anything to be mean. They can't help themselves when they get into trouble or sick.
