The Book of the Gospel of Peter mentions Mary Magdelene as beloved.

This was a very Interesting Gospel I read tonight that talked about the crucifixion of Christ, and the role of what Mary Magdalene Played with Christ. Indeed, The woman in The Last Supper was the beloved of Christ!

The Da Vinci painting is indeed interesting as there is a very feminine figure sat next to Jesus which has led to the idea that it is actually Mary. It is also interesting that there is no cup/grail in the painting again openning the idea that the grail refers to a person and not a cup.
