Cramming e-mails.

The moment one signs up and his e-mail address flashes out, there starts a flood of e-mails without least bothering about one's interest. If we read them thoroughly or even have a glance at them, it takes a lot of time, which is just a wastage. Inspite of no response for weeks together such e-mails keep pouring in.
If an individual sends e-mails to someone repeatedly without being requested, his/her e-maia ID may be rendered invalid. Does this rule not apply to to the Web Sites. Any idea how we can deal with them.
