If you were to be blind or deaf what would you choose? It's so hard if you think about it. Being deaf: You can see, but you will not be able to hear. This means you won't understand what other people are saying to you, listen to music, and talk. Your commuciation level would be very low, and you would have to stick to sign language to other people (which is likely they would not know) Being blind: You can't see, but at least you can hear. You will be able to communicate, but not as effective. However, not seeing is a big problem and you would never know what life is truly like

There's no doubt for me. I'd rather be deaf and take my chances that just maybe I could be taught to talk legibly and to read lips. If worse comes to worse I can always write. My belief is that if you can't see you're missing out on 80%-90% of life. I couldn't imagine not being able to read. Braille is no substitute. Not be able to see a loved one's face. I can live without music. I don't have any playing right now. I sure wouldn't be doing this or anything else on a computer. Using the computer for example. If you're blind; what can you do? Listen to music or other media. That's it If you're deaf; what can you do? Read, write, research, web design, programming, school work, do your job, run a company. talk to others, etc... On a more personal note. Though it would be a tough choice between hearing my wife's voice or seeing her face and body, I would choose seeing her emotions any day. Yeah, the choice is clear for me. Give me sight. ‹(°¿°)›

I would be rather deaf....the main issue is that most problems related to your eyes and ears can nowadays be fixed if detected early on.Thank god my eye sight is perfect as the doctor who checked me out a few months ago said ;] She said that most people of my age have certain issues related to their eyes but in a weird manner i don't have any of those and my eyesight is perfect ;] to get back to the subject i would choose being deaf any day since if i were to go blind i would loose the ability to do what i like most...draw...i wouldnt be able to see how my loved ones look, i wouldn't be able to walk normally on the street, i wouldn't be able to read what you guys post here so yeah...
