do u sometimes find it difficult to choose the best respond?

Yes it is difficult to choose the best response on most discussions. To me, it is the hardest thing to do on MyLot, well except for those days that I can't come up with a descent discussion topic. The way I have decided to handle choosing a best response is this: 1) I wait at least 4 weeks before considering making the choice. Although during that time I do make a list of the replies that I have received and should be considered. And why they should be. 2) At the end of the 4 weeks I revisit the discussion and take out my notes on the responses. 3) After ensuring I haven't over looked a reply, I reread the ones that I have made a list of. This is the hard part..... 4) If more than one answer is deserving of being chosen, I look for depth and details. Is the answer based on fact? Although some replies seem to be correct, the person replying may only be making a guess. Does the person replying seem to be sincere in their answer? Do they truly believe or at least portray that they believe what they are saying, or are they only saying it to agree with what I said in the original discussion. (I actually have given 3 or 4 best responses to members that totally disagreed with what I had said.) And with all that, I still have difficulties making a choice. When this occurs, I play "hot potato". I know this isn't completely fair to everyone, but it is the best way I could come up with to decide.

I agree that sometimes it is hard to figure out who to give your best response award to. But what I like to do, if I have a lot of responses to a topic of mine, is that I will look for a user who has given me a great reply who is new to the site. Like, someone with less than 500 points by their name. In this way, I might well be giving this person their first best response ever, or at least one of their first few, and I love the thought that I might be doing that. After all, we should spread the love around, lol! I wouldn't pick someone as the best response just because they were new, though. I will definitely look for someone who seems new to the site and who has really given me a wonderful answer. Of course, I don't always stick to this. If an answer really jumps out at me or touches my heart, I will give that person the best response no matter whether I have already given them other best reponses before.

yeah, i find it hard sometimes because i know they put much effort on responding your discussions and giving you right answers.

I do quite often find it difficult to choose the best response. If I have a few left to choose between and I'm not sure which is best I will pick the one that is the best friend. That is the one that puts up interesting discussions for me to answer and gives me nice comments on mine.

well if i happen 2 be in that situation then i will just choose the best respond for the person that responded first with the best response

Yeah, I find that it is hard to choose the best response although there are only 2 responses to my topics, but it is still hard to make a decision.
