I recommend NOD32 antivirus, it is fast and not heavy for the system, but I recommend most to use Linux or Mac instead Windows.

I've used both BiDefender 9 and 10 for over a year(separate) and didn't have my PC infected even once and trust me i've surfed on some dangerous sites and downloaded some dangerous objects. But this antivirus is such a good preventer of infecting your PC that you will never have to spend your time scanning your PC for removing viruses because BitDefender doesn't let anything in. I personally would recommend you at this moment BiDefender 10 which also has firewall, antispam and antispyware included. For me it's the ultimate PC protecting system. I would like to mention that i also had Norton antivirus and within 5 days i got my PC so infected that i had to format my hard drive and just by staying online, not surfing, not downloading anything...So this is the antivirus i recommend you least.
