You can learn a sport at any age. People start running or even boxing in their 40's. It's a good workout and you'll become in great shape!

I am a USAG Pro Member Gymnastics coach and the answer to your question is.....Yes, you still can learn gymnastics but it is going to be a lot more difficult. Our bodies are more flexible, smaller, and lighter when we are young and that greatly impacts how easily you can learn the skills. However if you want to give it a try then I say go for it. There are many gymnastics facilities that offer adult tumbling and gymnastics classes. They are a lot of fun and a great form of exercise. You won't be going to the Olympics, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to enjoy the sport.

Hi Im Toya I think you can learn gymnastics moves quite easily at 25. Do you do any other exercise? Are you fit or flexible. You should reach some level of fitness before you start any complicated moves but it depends what kind of gymanstics youre interested in - theres floor work and then trampolining - pole bar vault (which is more difficult) and rhythmic gymnastics which is a kind of dance gymnastics with moves and using balls, hoops, ribbons and batons If youre still watching your moves write back and Id be happy to let you know any information I know about I do a lot of dancing and use gymnastics which I trained in aswell ..hope this helps

That's so great that you want to start gymnastics. Too bad I just found this a year after your posting. Have you started? Are you enjoying it? I love gymnastics so much! When I was a child and teenager, I competed a great deal. But after many health setbacks as a young adult, I lost all flexibility and strength I had as a youth. But as an adult, I still love to get into the gym when I can. I do wish there were many more adult classes for gymnastics, but some areas have more. If you can't find a class, then hire a coach for private sessions. Good luck, and keep us up to date how it goes! Happy flips!
