The quick brown fox: does this ring a bell to you?

I was in high school when I was first introduced to a huge underwood manual typewriter and my first lesson was The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog near the river bank. Now the only time my fingers fly is when I type this other than that my speed is greatly reduced to 60 minutes per word. No not that bad, it's the other way around. Do you have a different version of the quick brown fox?

Wow what a great memory you have! That sentence does ring a bell with me though, I'm guessing it might be from school but I can't really remember! I initially learned to type on those huge manual typewriters too although just as we were leaving school they introduced a couple of electic ones and everybody used to fight to get on them. I learned to touch type a few years ago by downloading a program off the internet and then slowly introducing it at work, at one point when I was typing all the time at work I think I was up to about 80 WPM although i've probably dropped down lower than that now!
