I need Microsoft Office!

I am a community college student and I am currently taking an online computer course with my school. At the beginning of the semester my instructor said that we would need Microsoft Office to do certain assignments. I do not have Microsoft Office on my home computer and our next assignment that is due in 2 weeks is a handful of Powerpoint presentations. I have looked online for Microsoft Office software, but it is so expensive. Is there anywhere I can get it for a dirt cheap price? I have looked on Ebay and Amazon, but they are all pretty high.

I have heard that it's possible to find software on the internet for very extended trials...

I did visit the Microsoft website and they offer a 60 day free trial of Microsoft Office. I was going to try that but I am not sure if the 60 days will be long enough to last the rest of the semester since the rest of our assignments are using Microsoft Office! Thanks for your response!

You could try neo-office search for it on the net or my favourite open office 2, it is all free and u can download and install them no problem, and it can read the microsoft office files so no worries there, it works great and u dun have to spend a cent on software.And it almost does everything that microsoft office does, it has excel and access and all in one package but of course it is named differently. They are installed on my comp.

I've got a CD of MS Office XP. But from where should I send it to you? And I am not sure about the copy I've got runs for you or not because in our country, everyone uses that software without any kind of legal registration. We are provided only key on the CD sticker and run that CD on the several PC's and use it.
