Hi, do you remember what life was like without mobile phones. I work for a reputable mobile company and cannot beleive the complaints we would get from customers because their phone may have gone faulty or it has been stolen and they cannot retrieve there stored numbers or information. Dont get me wrong mobiles are good and very handy but people have to remeber that there was a generation of people who never had them or needed them or even thought of the idea of them. What do you think?

I agree to you macthedj. There are still people who dont use mobile phones and are still happy like others who do. I've had a mobile phone since 3-4 years and its an inseparable part of my life. I dont have a alarm watch because I have an alarm in my mobile. I dont have any other phones because I use a mobile and so thats the only way by which my family and friends can contact me anytime anywhere. And I dont keep a diary or a phone book because I have my friends and families phone numbers saved in my mobile. You know this discussion of yours has made me realise that Im too dependent on my mobile. I'll have to do something about it... lol!

I have thought about that many times. I suppose it's great for people on business. They need their clients to get in touch with them or may be traveling alot. But i think about those who use if for mostly personal use. What did they do before communication was tied to their hips? Like those people who can't put the phone down for two seconds to order their starbucks coffee? Or who have obnoxious loud conversations while in a book store. I suppose those are the people who constantly checked their answering machines at home. Back when we had answering machines and not voicemail!

yes, there was life without mobile phones, there still is- do you think every person on earth can afford a cell phone? certainly not, and its obvious that they are still alive! earlier when we dint have mobile phones, people used to work according to a fixed schedule, i mean, everything had to be planned beforehand and implemented perfectly, there was a lesser scope of changing your schedule. these days its quite easier, you leave your office an hour earlier, you can call your gf to meet you at the coffee shop! its simple. mobile phones have certainly improved the standard of living, the way people do business.it has helped in reducing unwanted expenses, increased turnovers and what not! its simply one of the best inventions of the century. no longer a luxury, truly a necessity!

I remember, i just got my cell phone last year so it hasn't been long that I've owned it. I've said it before and will say it again, the human race has survived a long time without the use of cell phones.

I completely agree with you. Too many people start to rely on the mobile phone too much and store too much data on it that it becomes a big risk if it is lost or stolen
