My house is just a little out of town.I like it very much. You don't have to hear the noisy traffic all the time and it is a little easy for us driving. We have Highway close by and all the essential things like Hospitals,Schools are not far away. Many of my friends have homes very close to town. They made these purchases solely on property values of homes. The property value of houses close to town are not very high and most have enormous potential for a better financial growth. What do you think about this and what would you prefer?

I prefer my house to be far from the town maybe on some hill top it because right i stay right in the middle in town with lots of noise and pollution all around

Well being that I have lived in the deep country where you only hear the wind blowing, and I have also lived and presently live in the middle of the city I very much prefer living just maybe a few miles from town. With gas prices the way they are now its hard to live completely out in the deep woods allthough I would love to again. Living in the city limits also has its pros and cons. At the present time my husband and I are unable to live too far out from town due to his job. He has to stay pretty close as when he is paged from his company he has to respond within a certian time frame. Living in the country is nice and quite but then again when you need something from town its a hassle driving 10+ miles just to get something easy and simple. But then again sometimes we have the wonderful little country stores who charge $10.00 for a cup of sugar. Ha. But I guess it all depends on preference and family, likes and dislikes. And then we also have people who do not have a choice becuase low income housing is usually awlays within the city limits. Myself I have to say I prefer country living.

Fuel price is an issue. I think the cost of living factor will eventually even out.You pay more for fuel but you pay less for housing, food and other amenities. Thanks for responding.

I don't drive so as much as I would love to live in the country, I have to live in the city so I can get to work (if I go back to work) and the grocery stores. As long as I can get a garden going, I'm happy
