over the past ten years? Ten years ago I loved really cheesy pop music! I was convinced I would marry Aaron Carter lol. Now I like hiphop and r'n'b. I cringe when I look back lol.

To me, more from rock/hardrock/punk to folk/alternative/rock/blues.. but I still like the punk and rock things but the others are things that influenced me to listen to wider things than that.

Oh man, when I was younger, I was dumber. When I was 6 I beleive I somehow liked the Backstreet Boys. Then I liked Foo Fighters (which, I still do). Then, around the 5th grade, I began listening to rap and hip hop. Sadly I changed and liked this music. This music, to me, was the "cool" music that EVERYONE had to listen to. Then, I remember my mother going into an unplanned 4 month surgery due to a brain tumor, where nothing was looking good. In this time, I turned to rap to try to comfort me and take my mind off bad things. Really, if you ask me, it didn't. The "music" (rap) seemed to influence me. I more frequently got into fights and arguments with relatives and family members. Then, in January, my mother finally came home to stay. I still loved rap, but all that was about to change. That summer, Yellowcard came out with their album, "Ocean Avenue". I got their CD, and then that was all I was listening to. Then I saw My Chemical Romance's music videos on MTV, so I got their CD, "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge". After that, I just grew from there. I only listened to rock, punk, and metal. I'll never go back to rap or hip hop. I respect anyone's decision if they like it or not, but it's just not for me. Just this past summer I went to Warped Tour. It was the time of my life. Now I listen to bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Yellowcard, My Chemical Romance, I AM GHOST, Escape The Fate, Aiden, Matchbook Romance, AFI, and many others. -Joe

They've changed a lot, I'm more open to a variety of genre than I was when I was younger..I listen to more world, latin music and some more hip-hop than I did. I was more into punk/alternative rock in my teen years and that's all I listened to, but now I feel I'm open to a lot more music.

Ten years past, I like classical, pop and all soft music as am just a kid. I do not have sense to taste the music but now when Im well grown I like to listen ROCK' N' ROLL = I like to listen METAL [and its sub-catogries] and Im knowns as a name of metaller and rocker now. I am a music composer now and I compose heavy songs like `master of puppet` metallica and all rock sort of songs. Sometime I laugh at my own that at times I use to listen CLASSIC and POP! Heh! But Im grown up now =P Still classic music has its own value mostly old peoples listen to them.

Don't cringe. The music you liked in the past has brought to the music you like now.I started with classical and country. Then came r&b and disco. Then I was into pop and rock. Then it was heavy metal and in the 90's grunge. Now like you I like hip hop.

Ten years ago (1997) I was heavily into bubblegum pop (spice girls, bsb, hanson, 5ive etc), a bit of rnb (Babyface, RKelly, TLC, Monica, Brandy) and a little bit of the alternative/rock/pop/mainstream cross over stuff (Garbage, Oasis, Presidents of the USA.) Today I still like some pop (but definetly past the bubblegum stuff), on the odd occasions a little bit of rnb (generally old favourites: tlc, brandy, monica) and a lot of the rock/alternative (some mainstream crossover stuff) like Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, The Superjesus etc. I adore female singer-songwriters and guys with guitars. I also listen to a bit of country music with Keith Urban, Chely Wright, The Wilkinsons, Deana Carter, Garth Brooks and Mindy McCready. So, some of the old stuff has gone, some of the old are now new favourites while some new things have come along. All, in all nothing terribly drastic really.

I don't see much change in my taste. I like instrumental, Pop, RB, HipHop, Dance and slow rock - it's still the same taste now, it's just that I don't always collect all of my favourite singers' albums.

Ten years ago I was into pop music. Like savage garden (still like the song: Truly madly deeply) But My music tastes now have gone more wild. I listen to country (love Keith Urban) Latley I have been listening to swing. So I have kinda went nostalgic. I love all kinds of music and can listen to about anything.
