Have you ever been involved in a car accident ?

I'm lucky, in 6 years I've never been involved in a car accident.

I've been in a few. Most were minor, got whiplash but that was it. The last one though did a real number on me. I was driving and saw that the other car was going to turn in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and tightened my hold on the steering wheel. We hit and I'm still paying physically for it. I did a lot of damage with that one. The other driver took off but thankfully someone followed and got her driver's license number. She ended up beign charged with 2 felonies. Leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. She pled out and got probabtion. My car was totaled and I did some major damage along my back from my neck all the way down to my hips. I damaged my wrists and ankles. I did a lot of phyisical therapy to get back to as good as they could get me. Problem is they didn't bother to tell me that I'd continue to get worse. So now 13 years later I don't know a day without pain.

I've been driving for 7 years now and I've never been in an accident. *knock on wood*

I was involved in an accident with a drunk driver. I was driving down this street going about 35 miles per hour when this guy in a van made a u turn right in front of me. I hit him and totalled my mother in laws car. He had no insurance and he ran on foot from the scene. My friend who was the passenger broke her hand and I was bruised up pretty badly. My neck and back were hurt. My mother in laws insruance company had to pay for everything. My friend and I both were comepnsated for our injuries. They caught the guy who hit us. He had a long history of DUI's. He is in jail now. I hope he gets help so he doesnt kill someone someday.
