I saw a discussion on tv of a women sticking by her man after he had been found guilty and convicted of peodophilia, despite all the evidence against him she believed he was inocent as that is what he told her and she's trusting him. what are your thoughts on this matter? Would you leave your partner if they were found guilty by "twelve good men (or women) and true"??

I had a personal experience with this... my niece was molested my her stepdad... it was long drawn out trial. Her mother chose to stay with him.... he got probation! But how she could stay with him... I never understood! Now ten years later, she is STILL with him! And the girl, now grown up, is leaving her children with them! how truly sick is that? I guess she figures she "imagined" it all those years ago.

I think there's no harm in giving a person one more chance. But if he does it another time, that is the sign that you would have to leave your spouse. This is a grave crime and it should not be tolerated.

See i disagree, How can you give the person that chance when there would be someone being harmed and you had let them get hurt by giving this person "one last chance" the feeling of guilt would be unbearable especially if it was your own child, do you not agree?

I could not stay with my husband if her were convicted of peodophilia. Even if thought it couldn't be true, and thought he was innocent, there would always be that hanging over our relationship. I don't know how anyone could stay in a relationship with a person like that. It would be like supporting that behavior, and if they did anything while you were with them, it would feel like you were a part of it somehow, ewww. I think people like that are sick in the head and would want to stay as far away from them as possible. I personally think that peodophiles should not be allowed to circulate or live amoung the public. They are a danger to society and should never be allowed to leave jail if they are ever caught and convicted. I do not think that they can go through therapy and become normal either. I hate hearing stories on the news how the peodophile was convicted before then released and then commited another peodophilia crime and sometimes they even murder. They are the lowest form of life and should not have the same privileges as humans or even animals. They should not even be considered human. That sickness is not curable, either.
