How often do you clean out your wardrobe?

I do mine about four times on average a year, I'm always buying clothes, especially gym stuff as I go five times a week they get well used, if they get tatty I use the vests as dusters and floor wipes, I'm keen on recycling! Any of my unwanted clothes I either give them to my cousin or take them to the charity shop, I usually give them to either animal rescue or cancer research.

I was never terribly regimented about cleaning out my clothing. By the time I had done it for both my kids, I never had the desire to start again with my own, quite frankly LOL Now, I have an organization that calls me when they are going to be collecting in my area. They take clothing (as well as other items they specify) and they sell the best of them, with the proceeds going to benefit differently-abled adults. They come right to my door -- all I need do is have my bag(s) outside by 8AM. It's a wonderful convenience for me, as well as being a way of giving the items to a worthwhile cause... AND it keeps me sifting through my clothes on a regular basis! :)

I clean out my wardrobe on a regular basis. I am always buying new clothes and I have to give something away before I can fit the new clothes into the wardrobes. Sometimes I just fold up the old clothes and leave them on the floor of the wardrobes, convincing myself that I will wear them again sometime. That never happens, so when the pile gets too large, I put them into the charity bags for collection.

I like to clean mine out every six months or so. I donate my items to charities. They come to the house and pick them up. Now my girls is every month or so. They grow out of clothes so quick it's not funny.

Blimey you are very organised .. I think I have done mine once in the last 10 years .. and only then because I treated myself to some posh 'non slip' matching hangers instead of all the scruffy broken and mismatched hangers I'd got free with clothes over the years .. and I only really changed as it was driving me nuts when all the different sized, shaped and hanging at different heights .. hangers kept getting snarled up with each other .. So I gave the wardrobe a 'make over' at the same time .. everything out .. washed throughout .. finally got out the new storage bins I'd bought ages ago and not yet used .. and everything is now all nice and tidily put away .. clothes hanging level .. colours from lightest on the left to darkest on the right and in proper sections .. tops, cardies, trousers, coats .. and it's all so much easier to use too .. wash, dry, hang .. that's my new motto hahaha

I like to clean out my closet a couple times a year. I tend to keep clothes that I haven't worn in years, but I will force myself to put them away so I can donate them. I'll also separate clothes that I think I may wear again the future. About once a year, I'll re-evaluate those clothes and see if I change my mind about them. If so, I will add them to the donate pile.

Chriss, I don't! I am not a cleaner at all! I pack things up and off to the Salvation Army or Goodwill when I realize that they don't fit me any longer or that I can't remember why I bought them ~Donna

I try to do it twice a year, as well. In summer an winter, everything still good goes to the Amherst Survival Ceenter (a local charity). I'm careful not to give them them anything horrible looking that I wouldn't wear myself.

Thats what i do as well do a good clear out of things i haven't worn for a long time and know i'll never wear again! I give mine to charity then you hope it will be perfect for someone else. It surprising how much clutter you build up!

Hi, I clean out my wardrobe about once a year, the odd things get chucked out in the meantime that have got ripped or torn, it needs doing again as I can't get into it at the moment as there's so much stuff in there! If stuff is half decent I'll sell it on ebay, or take it to the local charity shop. If not then it goes in the recycling!

I would say it's an almost never for me. Even though I don't wear most of the clothes in there any more, I just leave them there untouched. Only when I need to find a particular piece of clothing and cannot find it would I empty the whole wardrobe. And when that time comes, I sometimes start clearing things along the way.

I clean out my wardrobes several times a year. Anything good enough gets passed down through the kids, and once they have worn out clothes it goes into the rag bag. If I have outworn clothes, the same applies, or once in awhile we have things that are good enough to be passed on to the charity shop. We are always getting 'pick up' bags though our door, so I keep one going all the time for the next pick up date.

To be honest, I haven't gone through mine completely in years. When I come up across something I usually take it to my work, and give to one of our residents, and they can't wear it, or any of the employees, then Sherry(a friend that works there), takes them to the free store to donate. I am way over due on cleaning out my clothes, but I keep putting it off. I have outgrown so many of them.

I only clear mine out once a Year, lol. But not very often I get rid of anything, as it is still to good Condition to get rid of. But when I do, I normally bag it up and wait for the People that come round from the Charity Shop.
