Man leaves money to strangers A Portuguese man left money in his will to 70 people he randomly picked out of the phone book. Luis da Camara made his will at the age of 29 by picking names out of the Lisbon telephone directory. He had no family, reports the Mirror. Luis died earlier this month, aged just 42, leaving two houses, a car and £17,000 in cash. The 70 strangers will each get around

Well I suppose if you have no family and no real friends, who else are you supposed to leave it to. I hope that it makes a positive impact on the lives of those who receive the money. Hopefully they will pay it forward.

I think if I didn't have a family or friends, then I would leave my money to a good charity. I would never just pick names from a phone book, as some of these people may already have more than enough. I think the very idea is absurd.

Wow, wish someone in my area would do that! That is amazing and I bet those 70 people thought it was a miracle and wondered if it was a wind up? I mean a complete stranger leaving you substantial amount you'd think there was a catch or wind up wouldn't you? I certainly wouldn't do that, if I had no one to leave my money to, I would leave it to an animal shelter or to cancer research. His choice at the end of the day but I find it sad that he couldn't have given the money to a worthy charity.

Wow. I think that is so cool. For each of the strangers, it is like money from heaven. I might do something like that if I didn't have family. I would like to give money to strangers when I am able to do it financially.
