This is a question that has been bothering me for some time. When you love someone, you do things for them. You go out of your way to make them happy and feel good and well. But you also feel good within yourself for having done these things. You get a pay back, and your own sense of well-being is enhanced in equal or greater measure. So, this leads me to ask, are your actions designed to bring happiness to yourself? Is the a secondary or concomitant effect?happiness your loved one feels, Is love selfish? I would be very interested to hear the thoughts of the community on this, and I thank you in advance. allex
