i did!
i didn't want to use the normal cards because my whole wedding wasn't normal!
i've got married on the first off april, and we gave a big party on 23th of july because we wanted to celebrate it outside!
i found on the internet little cans, you now what they use for sardines(if you call them that way) it has a butterfly on the front(our first babycard has a butterfly inside that flw out when you opened it) so that's why i choose that one!
you could only open it by using a canopener!inside there was a letter made by myself with all the rules for our wedding!
for example: bring your kids, no expensive clothes, just wear shorts! no songs for us, etc.
did you use a special invitation for your wedding?

I made my invitations. I used a beautiful heavy paper and a cursive font. I then stamped a border of english ivy and a centered rose, and colored those by hand. I loved them.

How cool is that! You'll have to tell where you found that -- it sounds like you had a great time!
I made the invitations for my wedding, as well as the chuch booklet which had our song in it, who was in the wedding party,etc. I had to handdraw the front designs, but then I copied them onto special paper - then I went back and handcolored them in. Took a while - but it was special for us.

That sounds like a cool idea...I always like to do things different too. Our wedding invites weren't that unique but we did design and print them ourselves. We had a very small, beautiful wedding in January and then had a larger celebration wedding for our extended families and friends.
