Clark from smallville WINS hands down. The young man they chose to play Superman in the movie is a great look a like for Christopher Reeves. The Clark on Smallville delivers the heart and body of Superman to the screen.

I think Tom Welling would have been a better fit. Plus he had a relationship with Christopher Reeve, which might have have been helpful. Reeve and Welling had some memorable scenes together on Smallville.

I thought is was fantastic that they did have Christopher Reeves, Margot Kidder(Lois Lane), and Annette O'Toole on Smallville at the same time 20 something years later.

Yes, Tom Welling would have done an awesome job. He's a great actor and he just fits the roll of superman / Clark Kent so well. After playing him for six seasons on Smallville, he has really gotten the hang of the whole superman persona. I wish they would have used him in the movie.

Yes Tom Welling is great to see in the movie as Superman. At the same time Brandon Routh did a great job also. But actor would be fit to play it.

Tom Welling no doubt. I can't even remember the guy's name whom played in Superman Returns. It was either a lousy script or he just didn't do it for me. Even back when bell bottoms were in, Christopher Reeves was H_O_T!! except when he had that evil alter ego (then he just looked stank). But Yes, I would love to see Clark..er..Tom wet when he got dropped in the ocean.

It is nice to see Tom Welling in the big screen as Superman. Both Tom And Brandon deserves to play the role of Man of Steel. Christopher Reeves has his chanced so as Dean Cain and Tom Welling in TV. I think Brandon will give different flavor playing the part in big screen. They all deserve it.
