I guess most of us are familiar with the sages of old like Plato, Atristotle, Charles Dawin, Copenicus, Isaac Newton Kekule and Dalton just to mention a few. I Just cant stop aking myself which university all these legends graduated? who were there teachers? Or how do they come about all they profess to know and belief?

Plato is widely believed to have been a student of Socrates. He was the founder of the Academy in Athens, the first institution of higher learning in the western world. Aristotle is a student of Plato and teacher of Alexander the Great. Charles Robert Darwin went to the University of Edinburgh to study medicine. Nicolaus Copernicus probably first encountered Astronomy at the Cracow Academy (today the Jagiellonian University), he went to Italy to study law and medicine at the universities of Bologna and Padua. Sir Isaac Newton went off to Cambridge University at the age of 19, also to Trinity College, Cambridge. Friedrich August Kekulé von Stradonitz was professor at Ghent (1858-1865) and at Bonn, may well have attended at Royal Institution. John Dalton was appointed teacher of mathematics and natural philosophy at the Manchester Academy.
