i think dsl is the best in terms of speed and connectivity because we do not get disconnected automatically even during the peak...if we use dial up it gets frequently disconnected during busy hours..

Of course dsl is still the best. A lot faster than dial-up. Hey dial-up and prepaid are the same, isn't it?

In my place, the best internet connections I know are DSL or cable. The bandwith can be as wide as 6M or more. It's the fastest connection available. Now you can download a large file of over 2 GB in a matter of half an hour. The monthly fee ISP charge users is as little as 70 to 90 dollars local money. This is equivilent to around $10 in US currency .

I think that the best internet connection is cable one. I was on DSL but I switch to cable do you know why? They say me that I will have 756 kb/s speed but most of the time I have less than 100 kb/s. I wait them to make my network about 3 months because the company says that they put the dsl connection in a wrong apartment so I wait 3 months for the people to come and fix the problem. Now I am happy because I call to other company the speed is 10 times more higher and after I call them I don't wait 10 days I wait only 1-2 days.

cable connection runs through a coaxial cable which we use for cable tv. Actually comparing DSL and cable internet both have its own postives and negatives. cable internet are fast depending on your subscription and your cable company offers. the porblem with cable internet is that the more subscribers or internet users within your cluster it gets slower unlike with the DSL which runs through coppers wires which is used for your telephone lines, its never affected by the volume of subscribers per cluster. the problem you experienced is not actually the type of connection is to be blamed. It is a problem with your ISP. the company is not responsible enough to provide you the speed that they declared to give you. So the issue here is notthe type od connection because those connections are actually fast(except for dial-up)just be sure to check first whos ethe best company within your area who can provide you with the fastest connection and are they true to their word? so always verify ISP's before subscribing to them

DSL, Cable, Wi-Fi in short broadband. never a dial up because dial up connection is really slow and you cannot use your telephone while being connected to the internet unlike with broadband you can use your phone line while surfing the net and you can network.

DSL / LAN is the 2nd best mode of internet connection for residential users next to wireless. And copares to dial up/prepaid it is much much better.

I think I have the best internet connection to all those that response here! I'm using also 512kbps DSL connection, and I have a router so that I can use two computers at the same time. You want to know why it's the best? Because it's FREE! Yes it's free, because it's really my neighbor's DSL. They let me connect to it because, they seldom use it. Isn't it great!

DSL. You can network and you wouldn't notice any difference in the speed slowing down. DSL is also more stable than dial-up which often cuts you off all of a sudden then you have to reconnect.

for me it's cable. it's faster and cheaper than the dsl in my area. dial up is cheaper still but slower than a turtle.
