I take the subway into the city nearly every day. I find that the bus takes just as long as the subway, and is less comfortable to ride - very bumpy! I will take cabs on very rare occasions, but they are too expensive for me! Mostly, it's just the subway - all the time!

commuting in your country i think is much more better. becuase here in our country, which is tropical climate, you get sweaty and get darker skin from commuting because of too much heat especially now that it is summer!

I will of course choose taxi if the taxi fare is not a problem. Taxis is the most convinient way to get to a desired location in shortest time. The train and buys in syndye is dreadful, they never run on time, if you do not want to be late in a meeting ,you need to go much earlier to prpare for the late arrival of the bus or the train.

I actually prefer out of all three of these to take a taxi as opposed to riding the train or taking the bus. I find it the easiest and most direct way of getting somewhere than to take the bus or ride the train. In the city I live in the train only goes to certain areas of the city which makes it kind of useless to me unless I have to go to one of those places. The bus is another story. i don't care for the long waits for a bus and when you finally get one you're herded on there like an animal and if there's too many people you feel like you're on a rolling sardine can. I've spent time riding in a cab to and from my work and I used to allocate a certain amount of money per payday to my commute. It would only get strange for me if I ended up with a strange driver. It was kind of to be expected as I know not all taxi drivers are the same. There were a few ones that really stood out in my mind as ones who would go the extra mile and make me feel comfortable in their cars. I was always happy when I was able to have one of those cabbies drive me home. When I had ridden the train here where I live it was usually during the time of the day when all the weirdoes were out. I never ever felt comfortable on those things and I still don't to this day. I've had men just outright stare at me while I was riding. If that wasn't enough to make you uncomfortable it was when they looked at you for a long period of time and had a creepy grin on their face. That just made me feel WEIRD. I don't care for the underground part of the train here either. I don't like the idea of travelling in an enclosed tube where if there was an accident it would be almost impossible to get out. No thank you. When I think of the bus it brings up thoughts of somewhat the same sort of things I had gone through on the train. There are some other reasons I'm not a fan of the bus though either. I don't like how the operators drive or act. They're always on a powertrip to make sure you've paid your fare and then when you sit down you're treated to an episode of the Dukes Of Hazzard in an SUV. I always ended up glued to my seat when riding the bus because the drivers I always got I think were crazy. That or they were convinced they were professional NASCAR drivers. So, in conclusion, I prefer out of all three options you gave me to take a taxi to where I need to go. It's the most direct and easiest way for me to get around. I don't have a problem with the drivers all that much unless they're terribly rude. Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

hmm. the train/mrt is always too crowded but cheap also. the bus, is not always safe but the cheapest. the taxi is not always safe also bec. of some maniac drivers but it is less tiring of course and also a little costly. i'd say, take the bus. if you are practical.
