I think the newly launched Windows Vista is great ...It has the new glass Aero look ..the 3 d affects and it diagnoses the problem with the hardware itself and fixes it if required .... all in all a very user friendly ...operating system..

i think the newest windows vista can be entitled to this best os post.as i assure you it is most robust os i have ever seen.windows 98 ,windows xp are crash prone irrespective of whatever they say.when i was using those to operating systems i used to chane them monthly, sometimes even twice, thrice a month. 98 is having the great blue screen error and probably it is not recoverable,xp is better than 98 as something goes wrong and any error of this kind comes with blue screen at least on next startup it asks for safe mode or last known good configuration that worked. without any of these simply by saying start windows normaly on error in windows vista most of the time the changes are handled and os is back on. moreever it was the only os that lasted month and half on my machine. but if you go for maximum used windows os it sure is windows xp.because there is support from all softwares and hardware vendors for xp now. some hardwares dont work on vista like old kobian tv tuner cards as drivers are not still available. nero burning software is also having some problem on vista. older versions of nero dont work properly on vista. it will take time .by that time enjoy vista, and work in xp. good day!

Woow WIndows Vista.. what a hot subject i can say. I have talked a lot in my area with many of my friends and all of them had only positive thoughts about it. I can say that i was blow off by this new windows system. Some things certainly lack to it but this new look which Microsoft has incorporated in it certainly do the money you would give for it. I have waited this new system for 2 weeks and here i am using it. It was pretty hard for me to buy it because in my area it can't be found. So i had to ask a friend from another part of my country to order me. I am so happy using it and all i have are only words of gratitdue. I post here a short description about VISTA. Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface (GUI) and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista includes version 3.0 of the .NET Framework out of the box. The .Net Framework makes it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API.
