is myspace safe?

it's been over one year since i m a member of myspace. recently there were many reports in the news that how myspace is being used by criminals and cyberstalkers for criminal activities like rape, murder or blackmailing; also that this site is providing a safe place for the terrorists.it makes me wonder that if only the sufferers r to be blamed for such happennings or myspace also ought to take some responsibilities? is myspace really trustworthy and safe for sharing one's personal informations?

I think if you use my space you should always be careful. I think a lot of predators are targeting young women on my space. Getting their personal information and in some case communicating with me and trying to meet them. I think if you are on my space you should carefully choose your friends. You never know who is out there.
