Do you know what it is? Do you like it? I make it with sugar and cinn. for a desert, or plain with butter.

This sounds alot like banock. We made it alot when the kids were little. I would give them each a ball to roll out and they would wrap it around a stick and cook it over the fire. Sometimes I put raisins in it and they would put butter and cinnamon sugar on it and eat it that way.

Yes, an important part of my history. Not a fan of fried bread though. When done in the dry pan it is ok, however, I do like a fluffy bread. Do eat french toast but not alot. So to answer your questions it Yes I know what it is, I like it just Ok, and your options is about all I consider. Though would add some maple syrum with the butter.

My daughter's sister in law was staying with us for a while. She is living in the USA and she made cinnamon fried bread which sounds like what you describe. She fried the bread in butter then spread cinnamon and sugar on it. My grandchildren adore it, but it is a bit sweet for me.

The only fried bread I know is what we used to eat at breakfast with bacon and eggs. After the eggs are fried in the bacon grease on goes the bread until it is crispy. Yummy but loaded with calories.
