I was just reading online about a man named Manuel Uribe who weighed over 1,200 lbs. He has not left his bed side for 5 years now. He said that he has had this problem for years. He said he has been on diets and everything else and kept gaining weight. Does anyone know what causes obesity in people when they eat right and try to take care of themselves?

There are different medical problems that can cause weight problems. The thyroid is one thing that can cause weight gain.

There are certain chemicals such as nicotine that can remove stored fat which causes obesity and transport them through the blood vessels. The bad news is the veins gets choked and circulation decreases. Maybe spinach has some chemical agent that partly does this- i.e. removing stored fat, but also helps in kidney function so that these fats can be filtered from the blood stream and removed from the body.

I think that eating is not only the sole reason for getting overweight. If you eat and lot and excercise symultaneously then you wont gain weight but if you have a sedentary lifestyle you have moere probability of gaining weight
