what would you choose, being loved or the one who is giving love?

I've heard a topic about this on the radio a few years back when I was in college and this is how it goes "who would you choose the one who you trully love but cannot love you in return or the one who really loves you yet you doesn't love? It starts to boggle my mind when I heard about this topic , I ask myself that quetion if I would be to choose with that kind of situation what would I choose ,well as for me It is really great to be loved by other person even though we cannot give that kind of love in return , being love is everyones fantasy, the highest peak of career in life where everyone attempts to achieve, so if someone loves you would feel worthy because someone appreciates you the way you are and for who you are, but if the one that is loving you needs a commitment and you , yourself alreadly knows that you could not love that person in return? and there is someone out there that you really reall love and your willing to give and sacrifice anything and everything in order to have that person yet that person could not love you in return,how's it gonna be? This kind of situation might be common for other people as well as myself. what is the worth of life if we could not be with that person who we truly loves? So in the corner of my mind I said to myself that I would choose for the one I love yet cannot love me in return ,yet confusion arises when I remember the saying that every human being has been given a heart to love and not just to keep and , love should be spread, it should be nurtured and provide a comfort to others. but what if i cannot have that person whom I truly love but doesn't love me ,,, would I just stop there ? would I forgot about the saying which confuses me?
