How can I send fax from my computer?

I have a document from my computer and I need to send it by fax to someone. But I don't have a fax machine, and really don't want to figure out how to configure my fax modem. Is there a reliable way to fax a document over an internet?

I have windown xp and there is a fax already in there. If you have xp go to control panel, printers and faxes and it is there.

Have you a Windows XP cd? Then put your cd into the drive and install fax service.Configure it. then you will be able to send fax to any fax number. You can receive faxes too.
