Worst vacation

My mother booked us a motel room at a facility listed in the Best Western motel guide. When we arrived, though, we discovered that it was no longer quite up to that standard. It was right in a rough neighborhood in downtown Detroit. The doors were paper thin with cheesy locks. All night girls solicited men in the parking lot from the upstairs windows. I was awake all night being afraid for my children. We left after one night, and our vacation improved greatly after that.
