My Alcoholic Friend

I need some advice. I have a friend who is killing herself with alcohol. She goes through a bottle of spirits every two days during the week, and she usually passes out drunk every weekend. She does it because she gets depressed, but I don't know what to do to help her. I'm also worried she'll commit suicide when drunk. Her brain is melted. She can't remember half the discussions we have, and that's when she's in a noraml state (for her). I've tried to get her help, but although she says she wants help, and she sometimes tries to quit, she never sticks to anything. Does anbody have advice? Have they been in the same situation.

This is a tough question. I went through something similar about 6 years ago. I drank from the time I got home from the time I went to work. I wanted to die. I had no desire to live. I don't know if you'll believe in Jesus, but he is the reason I am alive today. He protected me when I went through this stage and then a year later I gave my heart and life to him. I finally have peace and not longer wish to die. I have never been so happy and at peace before. Here are a list of ministers that I trust if you would like to read and hear their progams: http://www.joycemeyer.org www.jdm.org www.lakewood.cc These are just a few to get you started. Hope this helps

Thank you for that. I don't personally believe in Jesus, so I don't think I could help her find him. Unfortunately, if religion can save her, she will have to find it for herself. I will definitely have a look at the site though.
