My boyfriend knows I hate them so he thought the best way to stop me annoying him last night (out of boredom) would be to hold me down and give me a huge hickey. At the time I couldn't stop laughing but when i looke din the mirror I almost died. It's humongous. It looks like a huge bruise. Does anyone know of any way to get rid of it more quickly?

You can't get rid of it quickly, especially if it's big. Even if you try to massage it or apply compress on it, it's still gonna be visible for days. I guess what I could advise you is to be able to make it not visible. At least it's an immediate relief. I would advice my friends to use concealer (of their own skin type of course) and the best one (but quite expensive) is Covermark. It really covers it, as if it's not there.

Oh I need Covermark badly! By the time I can afford it, the mark will be gone. I'll try and do my best with what I've got.

frozen spoon....then put it on your neck until it burns....trust me ....re-apply when skin is warm again Cover them up-.. Concealer or foundation works well. No way but time to remove them.. They are in fact blood blisters beneath the skin.

I also recommend concealor. Make sure you get one that matches your skintone.

Haha I have the same problem. I usually find concealer covers it up just fine. A scarf is also useful at covering it up.

Basically you need to break up the clotted blood under your skin. I know it sounds gross, but hickies are a result of broken blood vessels. If massaging it seems too weird, take a clean toothbrush and use that to gently brush over the hickey. Then just use a cover-up (MAC makes a great one), to make it less noticable.
