We used to go all out, fried chicken or meat to bbq, homemade potato salad, baked beans, fresh fruit, chips, soda, and dessert. We'd lay out this elaborate feast and then fight to get the kids to eat cause they were too busy playing. Now, we grab a loaf of bread, a jar of pnut butter and one of jelly, fruit, some bottles of juice and lots of toys, sports equipment and the bikes. If the kids get hungry we are ready to feed them, but usually they just want to play.

ah a picnic is useless without some good eating stuf and things with which we can do things which we cant do in our daily routine this makes us feel more relaxed and there the motive of our picnic ends.!!!!!

I take a few dresses and my cap and sunglasses. Apart from that I would not miss my iPod and mobile phone, not to mention the charger. What else could I think of? The rest depends on the picnic location and theme.

sometimes we take a big cooler of cold fried chicken, potato salad, pickles, cole slaw and a desert salad. All kept cold while we're out hiking, then deliciously appreciated after a long day. I wish it were warmer weather here. I think I need a picnic.

Nothing like a good picnic. I remember eating cold breaded fried chicken with macaroni salad, my favorite. I can't recall the last time I went on a picnic. Thanks for responding.
