Babies names from beer tops

Other Half says that in the 60s in the Midlands there was a brewery called Drakes which made bottles of stout. When you opened the bottle two names were inside the lid. Other Half says that people sometimes chose their babies name by this rather strange method. Can anyone else remember this, or shed any more light on this rather quaint firm?

I have been having trouble with scripts on one of my sites so I haven't had time to look into this yet, but if that brewery is there, I shall find it, I have Irish genes lol.

I can imagine that was really enjoyable, the sort of thing I would enjoy too. I am always researching into things for various writing projects and I am a bit cross with Other Half that he didn't mention this before, what a wonderful thing to bring into a story line. You only got your name because I couldn't keep her off the stout! I am researching the company now as well.
