i used to work in insurance companies before a call center. pru life of u.k., manulife financial to name a few. even though i could go back to the companies, my heart & mind told me not to. benefits were not that good plus the compensation was not enough to support my family. so i opted to apply & to work in a call center. gosh i was hired. & the compensation i got plus the big benefits were great. that's not all. my English grammar was enhanced. the more i became fluent. i realized learning is continuous. learning should not be stopped.

Really? Pru Life's not good enough? I tried applying for pru life because a branch is about to open in my place. Still had my initial interview, and they said I'd just be called for a test.

insurance businesses here in our country PHILIPPINES don't do well. it's hard to sell insurance since not all can afford to have 1. i was with PRU last 1997. i just dunno the compensation & benefits if you work in PRU abroad. maybe it's higher compensation & huge benefits. LUCKY you if you do.

Yes. We know that call center agent is being paid higher than any other ordinary job here in the Philippines. And to be hired, one must be fluent in English right? And once you got there, you are right, for sure your English will be enhance for it is your medium of communication there. And it's true that learning is a continous process as long as we live.

I agree with you that learning is a continuing process. Up to now, I gain different knowledge from all kinds of fields, specially in computer which is my favorite. I also love when I found new words that I have never encounter before.
