The Great Toilet Paper Debate

Toilet Paper - A roll of toilet paper
Australia

Ok my fiance and I are constantly buying different types of toilet paper, Im not too fussed by I like the cushioned cottonelle one which is 2 ply, where as he insists on 3 ply or more! He says its the luxury he will pay for and not go without lol. Is toilet paper an issue in your house? Do you insist on a certain type or ply? Thanks for your replies :).

If someone can afford some kind of "luxury" then nothing wrong in insisting on it and not accepting lower quality, as for me I don't care about trivial things and I had to live with "lower quality" with much more important things so with less important things like this I don't care for luxury and anything that does the job will do..

I insist on anything other than this one ply crap that I am forced to use here at school. I probably use about 50 feet of it every time I do my business because the stuff is so thin. As for brands, I'm not picky. As long as it doesn't feel like I'm wiping with sandpaper, it's alright by me.

we try to get quite a good quality one as you know what happens with the cheap stuff ( not going into details lol ) but my hubby laughs as I do try to have it to match my bathroom , He thinks I am mad but I like it that way lol xx

Yes I know what happens with the cheap stuff lol. Thats funny, the matching thing, but I guess I used to be the same when our toilet was in our bathroom, why not hey lol, they obviously make the patterns and coulored ones for that reason :)Good luck in findng just the right colour or pattern for yours lol ;)

you know my friend, for me it all goes in the same place and for the same reason so one thing i do insist on is that it is the cheapest either me or my husband can fiend. I know it may seem penny pinching but i really dont see the point in spending money on something that will so quicky exit my home in a soiled state. blessed be keep on posting

We like Scott tissue, husband says it is the best buy for the money. It does work adequately for our needs. Money is of the issue and we choose what we spend out bit of money on. We two kids it has to last a bit and so Scott wins out. Maybe when we get older we will choose a luxury brand.

We've always used scott tissue, a long time ago a plumber told me it was best for septic systems, and it does the job quite good

can honestly say i've lived long enough to have seen a sears catalog in a out house and it was the first double outhouse that i've ever seen. lol hate to say it cause it sounds like i'm cheap but really i'm not. the wife bought this new brand last week and its 2 ply and it keeps plugging up the toilet now. so what i now do is split it in half so its single ply. it seems to be really thick. but no i don't insist on any particular brand as long as it doesn't say sears on it i'm happy...lol

My husband and i agreed on buying the nice but affordable brand. It doesn't matter how many plies it has, as long as we get the value of the money we spent for it. Using toilet paper is already a luxury we enjoy, i wonder what our great great grandparents used during their times.. lol

LMAO....I guess that it is not too big of an issue in my house as of right now. The biggest issue that we have right now is keeping my two year old from wasting it as she tries to insist on wiping her own bum since she has been potty trained ... LOL!!!
