i was born in 70's so i was aware the type of music about late 70's til late 90's. everytime my pop would play the old songs i usually got out of the room. old songs annoyed me when i was in high school. i couldn't appreciate them. but when i reached my college, i learned to appreciate the classic songs. it started when i watched on the big screen the movie SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE. the background music was AS TIME GOES BY. i love the melody & the lyrics. so now i enjoy the platters, vic damone, tony bennett & nat king cole's golden songs. in fact, my partner has some collections of it. i can proudly say i was also influenced by my pop & current special someone in listening & appreciating the classic songs. they too love classic songs.
