Windows vista is new in the market so its not a good idea to buy it.I saw some where online that microsoft has recently discovered a but in vista and they cant work on it till feb 16th as they have lot of work on hand. Its a big threat because this bug can be used by hackers to enter into your system.

Woow WIndows Vista.. what a hot subject i can say. I have talked a lot in my area with many of my friends and all of them had only positive thoughts about it. I can say that i was blow off by this new windows system. Some things certainly lack to it but this new look which Microsoft has incorporated in it certainly do the money you would give for it. I have waited this new system for 2 weeks and here i am using it. It was pretty hard for me to buy it because in my area it can't be found. So i had to ask a friend from another part of my country to order me. I am so happy using it and all i have are only words of gratitdue. I post here a short description about VISTA. Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface (GUI) and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista includes version 3.0 of the .NET Framework out of the box. The .Net Framework makes it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API.

Windows Vista is the latest release of Microsoft Windows, a line of graphical operating systems used on personal computers, including home and business desktops.According to Microsoft,[4] Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista introduces version 3.0 of the .NET Framework, which aims to make it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API.primary stated objective with Vista, however, has been to improve the state of security in the Windows operating system.[5] One of the most common criticisms of Windows XP and its predecessors has been their commonly exploited security vulnerabilities and overall susceptibility to malware, viruses and buffer overflows. In light of this, then Microsoft chairman Bill Gates announced in early 2002 a company-wide 'Trustworthy Computing initiative' which aims to incorporate security work into every aspect of software development at the company. Microsoft claimed that it prioritized improving the security of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 above finishing Windows Vista, significantly delaying its completion.[6] During the course of its development, Vista has been the target of a number of negative assessments by various groups. Criticism of Windows Vista has included protracted development time, more restrictive licensing terms, the inclusion of a number of new Digital Rights Management technologies aimed at restricting the copying of protected digital media, and the usability of new features such as User Account Control.

Last Year, YOU REMINDED me with the discussion I REMEMBER! Windows Vista was in beta, One of my buddies got it. So he download Ventrilio! its a microphone Chat Thingy WE ALL PLAY THE VIDEO GAME Battlefield 2! and 2142! so when we were loading, All of a sudden on his a microphone an Endless CAWING, It was a vulture on his Windows Vista! Its cawing, cawing, endlessly endlessly. Half an Hour later it stopped,he said there were more than 90 error messages that popped up. It stopped. 20 minutes later. It kept cawing, and doing that desert caw over and over! AHHHH! I like the Vulture! But I don't Want it cawing more than once! It Probably was because it was in beta! Microsoft probably fixed it!

My brother tried on his laptop, i checked every thing. the best feature in it is any program cannot be installed in background. Built-in Internet Explorer 7, Media Player 11, Icons are excellent and the main thing its not running slow, i think its faster than XP. Requires atleast 512 MB RAM and 1.7+ Processor

I have tried one of the release candidates and i quite like the look and feel of it. Ofcourse the direct X 10 that comes with it is also a very large bonus because itg means that the gameswill be better. The things that i dont quite like about it is the fact taht it takes up a lot of memory in the RAM and leaves less around for the running of apps and stuff like that. There are also a few occasional driver issus with some malfunctions in hardware her and there. The display looks really great nd the animations are really nice too but i think its a tad over the top, Microsoft should have concentrated more on the development of the security and less on the visual. I wouldnt get it just yet and i suggest if anyone wants to buy it, they should wait a year to 6 months to see if the major bugs in it are patched up before they buy.
